Haridwar Junction Railway Station (Station code: HW), is one of the railway stations in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. It falls under the Moradabad division of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways.
Haridwar was first connected with railways, via Laksar, through branch line in 1886, when the Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway line was extended through Roorkee to Saharanpur Junction, this was later extended to Dehradun in 1906.

Built by the organisation of the guru Kailashanand,resembles a fairy-land castle and has dozens of shrines to hindu deities on each level.
Rafting, Kayaking & Trakking More than 100 operators offer full-and half-day rafting trips, launching upstream and padding down to Rishikesh. some also offer multiday rafting trips, with camping along the river. The official rafting season runs from 15 September to 30 June. A half-day trip starts about Rs.1000 per person, while a full day costs from Rs 1800. Most companies also offer all-inclusive Himalayan traks to places such as Kuari Pass, Hari- ki Dun and Gangotri/Tapovan around Rs.3500 per day.
Walks & Beaches An easy, 15- minute walk to two small waterfalls start 3km north of Lakshman Jhula bridge on the south side of the river. The start is Marked by drink stalls and a roadside shrine, and the path is easy to find, 4WD taxi coast Rs. 100 from Lakshman Jhula.
