What is Lower Berth Quota in Train?
- Male over 60 years travelling alone
- Female over 45 years travelling alone. Or
- Two passengers (above Maletioned criteria) traveling on one ticket (Traveling on same PNR).
- Pregnant Female, Though pregnant Female need to show a certificate stating so to avail this quota.
- For reservation of Pregnant Female traveling alone under Lower Berth/ Sr. Citizen Quota booking facility is available only Indian Railway's Booking Counters/Reservation Offices.
- If above Maletioned conditions are not met, then booking would be automatically done under General quota.

What is Senior Citizens Reservation Quota & Fare Concession in Train?
- This Quota available for Male - 60 years and above & Female - 58 years and above Traveling for any purpose.
- Male 60 years and above - 40% fare concession in all classes.
- Female 58 years and above - 50% fare concession in all classes.
- Traveling for any purpose, Concession also applicable in Rajdhani / Shatabdi and Duronto trains.
- No concessional tickets allowed for Garib Rath, Gatimaan, Vande Bharat, Suvidha and Humsafar Train / Quota / Class.
